Mwiba Lodge

Where a high end luxury lodge meets operational requirements. BOXA’s first major cross country Back Of House installation situated in the remoteness of Maswa Game Reserve, bordering the Serengeti.

Maswa Game Reserve, Tanzania
Number of Units: 5
Installation Time: 4 weeks
Year Completed: 2024

BOXA’s rapid build solution was a perfect fit for Mwiba’s BOH requirements. Due to the remoteness of the site, transporting traditional build materials was not only costly but disruptive to the local ecology, and guests.

BOXA successfully installed 3 x Staff Accommodation Units (H1.1) for the vast anti poaching rangers that are stationed at the lodge. Bedding 24 rangers in total, BOXA has the honour of  providing eco-conscious, comfortable and safe building solutions to people that protect our wildlife.

On top of this, BOXA also installed a ranger operations unit (F1.1) that was the base of all radio communications for all rangers and staff in the concession.

BOXA’s final unit (H2.1) was used to house researchers, students and guests of staff visiting the lodge. With a total of 16 beds, these en-suite units were an economical solution to the housing crisis that presented itself at the lodge.
